1. Follow Jesus and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior.
Psalms 27:1 (NLT)
The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The LORD is
my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
2. Make Jesus the most important person in your life.
Luke 10:38-42 (NLT)
As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a
certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39
Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. 40 But Martha
was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said,
“Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the
work? Tell her to come and help me.”
41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all
these details! 42 There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has
discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Psalms 27:4 NLT
The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house
of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and
meditating in his Temple.
3. Sing and praise Jesus everyday, throughout the day.
Psalms 27:6 NLT
Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me.
At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
singing and praising the LORD with music.
4. Ask Jesus and talk to Jesus first about everything.
Psalms 27:7 NLT
Hear me as I pray, O LORD. Be merciful and answer me! 8 My heart has heard
you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”
5. Ask Jesus to guide you everyday.
