                              PJ's Family!  
On our last trip to Golden Gate Seminary, we took some time to hangout at Alcatraz.  As we were waiting for the ferry to return, I took this shot of my crazy family.

The big head and big mouth you can guess is me.  My lovely wife Margaret of 20 years (she's not 20, we've been married 20 years! Sorry honey...) is next to me, followed by our youngest daughter Ashley who is a sophomore. Our oldest daughter is Britney, who will be graduating in December from Los Osos. My oldest son, Ryan is married to a beautiful young lady, Ganae, and they have three kids, Layla, Rylan and Damien.  

We have two Golden Retrievers who think they are people, Riley and Maximus.  They are the worst guard dogs in the world; if a burglar came by they'd open the front door for them just to get petted! 

I grew up in a Christian home in Arizona, 12 years in Phoenix and 9 years in Tucson. I graduated in 1990 from the University of Arizona (go Cats!) with a degree in land development.  The Lord changed my heart to "spiritual development" when I was called into ministry.  I graduated from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994 with my Master of Divinty degree and worked as the junior high pastor for almost 7 years at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland, CA.  Sensing the Lord leading us to do a church plant, we moved to Rancho Cucamonga with our good friends Ruben and Stephanie Galarza in 2000.  Ruben is our associate pastor of worship and youth (his ugly mug is on the worship page).

When we began The Vine in September 2000, I also started teaching at California Baptist University as an adjunct professor in the Christian Studies dept. It's a privilege to see college students come to know the Lord and to guide them in their walk with Jesus.

We have loved seeing the Lord build The Vine Church, He is AWESOME!
